Stamps and posters are two of my favorite things. Though they may seem different, they both have a lot in common. They are works of art--one in miniature and one rather large. Join me as we explore the beauty of these things!!
The stamps of Great Britain are extremely beautiful. Theis stamp from 1929 shows a famous scene in British literature--ST. George slaying the dragon. Notice the intricate and detailed art work of this stamp.
This stamp shows another theme in British stamps--the seahorse. Since the people of Great Britain are a seafaring people, what better image than a seahorse to represent this. This stamp, as well as the previous one, are examples of CLASSIC British postage stamps.
